Original Series Heavy Casting Rods
Impulse Original Series heavy casting rods start off with an exceptionally light weight and sensitive blank that is made with a blend of high-intermediate modulus Toray graphite. They are then custom fit with a WINN grip handle that fit perfectly on the blank. These WINN grips offer an unmatched “tacky” grip even when wet. We then shorten the reel seats to provide more access to the blank in front of the reel seat for added sensitivity, and cap the end with a Fuji metalized plastic winding check.
Impulse heavy casting rods in our Original Series utilize Sea-Guide tangle free 316 SS frames with Zirconium rings. We then add our custom guide train that is slightly larger than a standard micro guide rod. This proven guide train and spacing helps to increase both your casting distance and accuracy, that also allow larger mono, flouro, and leader knots to pass through with ease.
