The Impulse Difference

Here at Impulse Fishing we put extreme effort and time into every rod that we make. Every Impulse rod is designed and crafted with premium materials and components. We believe in quality craftsmanship and putting in the time to build an American made rod without cutting any corners.

WINN grip handles

We have spared no expense in creating the very best rod in its class. Our Impulse original series Gen 2 rods start off with an exceptionally light weight and sensitive blank that is made with a blend of high-intermediate modulus Toray graphite. Then we custom fit each WINN grip handle to fit perfectly on the blank. WINN grips offer unmatched “tacky” grip even when wet. We shorten all our reel seats to provide more access to the blank in front of the reel seat. We cap the end with a Fuji metalized plastic winding check.

Running guides

  • Seaguide ONEGUIDE series single-foot guides for spinning and casting rods.
  • Reverse deep drawn frame design.
  • Anti-slid groove design
  • Wider single foot provides extra strength and stability
  • Frame: SS316 Stainless Steel
  • Zirconium rings (silicon carbide equivalent)

DOUBLE FOOT GUIDES

  • Seaguide ONEGUIDE series versatile double-foot guides
  • Reverse deep drawn frame design provides unbeatable durability
  • Sloped frame decreases line tangling.
  • Frame: SS316 Stainless Steel
  • Zirconium rings (silicon carbide equivalent)

Was gifted this Rod by my son Lance, WOW!!! I’ve been using this rod for about a year and a half now! This rod has replaced 3 Kistler Z Bones!!! By far my favorite rod! Very versatile rod I use mostly for casting 3/8 oz or less jigs and Texas rigs, but if I could only have 1 rod, this one would be it!!! Awesome rod!!!

    Good rods.

I can spool most reels with a 3/4 red eye shad on this rod. It loads great on the cast and when the fish hit it. But still has enough power to handle large fish. It’s also a great rod for the 90 size whopper plopped and 50# braid. It doesn’t jerk the plopper away from them on the hook sets. And I throw up to a series 5xd on it. It’s a very versatile rod for sure
