Impulse Fishing Rods

Graphite Exposed Reel Seat

The Impulse Salt Series rods use our traditional graphite blank through exposed reel seat for superior comfort and sensitivity. This exposed reel seat is modified by cutting the threads shorter. This allows for less wear on your fingers and more contact with the blank.

  • These tough graphite/nylon reel seats are up to 50% lighter than all metal seats, sensitive, and corrosion resistant.
  • Most popular and comfortable choice for avid anglers that fish all day.
  • Blank exposure allows your trigger finger to be in direct contact with the blank for maximum sensitivity to strikes.

Salt Series 7' Medium Light Casting Rod

Posted by Curtis Woodall on Jun 2nd 2020

I'm 61 years old. Lived in the Houston area all my life. Fish Galveston bay area forever. I've owned a lot of rods in my life. When I received this rod via USPS at my door step and unpacked it, I instantly knew I had a game changer. The fit and finish is superb. The action is spot on. This is by far the best casting rod I have ever held in my hands. I also build split bamboo fly rods from scratch, so I know what I am looking for in fit/finish/performance. These guys at Impulse know what they are doing. My hat is off to them not to mention they are local to me here in Texas USA. I showed it to my son in law and he is putting in an order as well. I can not over recommend this rod....it's a beauty.

    Small topwater rod

Posted by Cade on Aug 28th 2019

This rod is perfect for plastics smaller top water mirrordines. They nailed the action on this rod the sensitivity is as good as any of their bass rods. These rods are light you can fish all day and not be worn out and they do have enough power to lift and turn big reds if needed. You wont be disappointed
